The Chinese Stairmaster. At least that's what I call it. A four to seven hour hike, up and down, and up, and down, what probably amounts to thousands of stairs, through scenery which is absolutely breathtaking. It starts at Shaolin Village, and ends, after going over one mountain range, and on the side of another, at a monastery which is being reconditioned. Actually, this monastery is one of the places where some of the Shaolin Temple monks hid during the Cultural Revolution. After seeing the path to get there, one can see why they felt safe there.
