Jokhang Monastery
Built in the 700's, this original and most famous Tibetan monestary is open to the public as a museum. The walls and floors are absolutely covered in Yak wax, a byproduct of centuries of burning yak butter lamps within. Walking throughout this structure is truly an amazing experience.
